If you know him at all, it’s probably from the goofy Honey Badger web video, the one where some random guy hilariously narrates the day to day activities of a typical Mellivora capensis. The video was a lark, but it has pulled in serious viewership: 45 million views on YouTube at last count.
Randall, the voice behind the badger, wants to be more than a flash in the pan. Described (in his press release) as a “reclusive pop icon,” he’s a regular contributor on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live! and he recently wrote his first book, Honey Badger Don’t Care: Randall’s Guide to Crazy, NastyAss Animals.
Tonight at 8 p.m., the single monikered Randall appears in a one-man show at Largo, where he’ll be… actually, we don’t really know what he’ll be doing. The show, which costs $25, will feature odd animal stories, Largo’s quartet house band and a book signing.
