When it comes to how to spend your Saturdays, braving the lines at Target under unflattering florescent light likely ranks low on your list. So abandon your plans to stock up on dishwashing liquid and head to Artists & Fleas, a completely manageably sized craft fair. The event launched in New York in 2003 and opened up their first L.A. market in 2014 in the Arts District. Now, they have weekly installments in Venice as well (the Arts District schedule will be announced again soon) where you can get that distressed-yet-overpriced pillow, or that totally reasonably-priced gold jewelry, or that vintage dress look you’ve been coveting, all while having the pleasant experience of roaming around outdoors and getting the Vitamin D your shrink told you to get more of.
