Fellow SOA alum Ron Perlman is on a vigilante hot streak, riding the other side of the law on Amazon’s Hand of God (September 4). He plays a judge who doles out guerrilla justice after receiving what he believes is a divine nudge. Let the bingeing begin.

Are you hungry? Like the wolf, perhaps? Hunt down Duran Duran’s Paper Gods (September 18 in the U.S.; September 11 in all other territories). With help from Mark Ronson, Janelle Monae, and Lindsay Lohan (!), keyboardist Nick Rhodes promises “a shot of pure pop.”

Sometime critical darling Jonathan Franzen is back with Purity (September 1). The Santa Cruz resident’s newest follows heroine Purity “Pip” Tyler in a quest to uncover her family history, a search that takes her from Oakland to Germany.
