The Gang’s All Here–And It’s the ’80s in ‘Anchorman 2’

Here’s a new trailer—and a new decade—as the Channel 5 team returns to the air

The ‘stache is back. That’d be the caterpillar on the upper lip of Ron Burgundy, the legendary 1970s San Diego newscaster immortalized in Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy.

In Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, not out until December 20, it’s the 1980s and Burgundy (Will Ferrell) and his Channel 5 cohorts have been asked to participate in a new 24-hour news channel. Prepare yourself for new pretty-faced competition (James Marsden), a potential popcorn-haired romantic interest (Kristen Wiig) for awkward, socially-inept Brick Tamland (Steve Carell), and, of course, Ron Burgundy’s perfect hair.

Rising from the ashes like a mustachioed phoenix, Ron Burgundy proclaims: “I’m going to do the thing that God put Ron Burgundy on this earth to do: have salon-quality hair and read the news.”

No news yet on if there will be more pyrotechnic jazz flute but anything could happen.
