A New Screening Series at The Grove Fuses Street Style and Movies

“Do you prefer fashion victim or ensembly challenged?” The immortal words of ’90s heroine Cher Horowitz (played by Alicia Silverstone in the quintessentially L.A. movie Clueless) take on new meaning at this summer’s best dressed film series.

Fashion Web site Who What Wear is behind the new Street Style Cinema film series, which runs throughout the month of June with screenings every Thursday in the park at The Grove. But Street Style Cinema isn’t your average blanket and picnic basket scene. Get fancy in your finest threads and take the grass runway in style: Who What Wear promises to feature portraits of select fashionistas on their site.

Kicking off tomorrow with the 1989 millennial classic Troop Beverly Hills, the screening will be followed by an all-out party featuring DJs, themed cocktails, photo booths, and delicious snacks. In addition to Troop Beverly Hills, Street Style Cinema is screening the Lindsay Lohan hit Mean Girls on June 11, Clueless on June 18, and finally Blue Crush on June 25.

The event is free and open to the public. RSVP here.
