Sing your body electric to Ozomatli’s new literary tune “Read to the Rhythm,” which was just released today. In the video, Ozomatli, dancers, and about 60 kids hang out at the L.A. Public Library downtown praising the transformative power of reading. The song is the result of a collaborative effort with the library to promote its upcoming Summer Fun clubs for kids and teens in L.A. “Being chosen to write a song for the Los Angeles Public Library’s summer reading program was a huge honor for Ozomatli,” says the band’s saxophonist Ulises Bella. “All of us growing up here in L.A. would not be where we are without the amazing resources that the Los Angeles Public Library provides the community.”

This summer’s Library planning for kids includes reading clubs, workshops, live performances, access to the Library’s literacy and information materials, and at some locations, free lunch.
