Oakley’s Artistic Take on Women and Skateboards

A photograph exhibit at the brand’s pop-up hangout explores L.A. from a rolling perspective

From May 8-10, Oakley is hosting the photo and video exhibition LA WOMAN–a love letter to the art of female skateboarding–at Oakley in Residence: Los Angeles, a pop-up skate park/hangout in the Fairfax District.

Curated by photographer Amber B. DiAnda, this exhibition features six photographers including Deanna Templeton, Magdalena Wosinska, and Lisa Whitaker. The exhibition celebrates the city and its many inhabitants with shots that explore landscapes, liberties, and the ladies of the local skate scene. The pieces curated are powerful and moving. Don’t miss Deanna Templeton’s striking homage to the cardboard sign. It’s unforgettable.
