On Feb. 5, actress Megan Fox and her rocker fiance, Machine Gun Kelly, headed to The Strat Hotel, Casino & Skypod for a thrilling night in the sky, after attending the NHL All-Star Game. The lovebirds enjoyed two rides at the property’s iconic 1,149-foot-tall tower: Big Shot and X-Scream. Joined by friends, the pair took in the 360-degree views of Las Vegas from the observation deck and remarked about the amazing views. Fans quickly took notice of the couple and offered congratulations on their recent engagement, to which the couple exclaimed, ‘thank you!’ many times over.

Vegas Celebrates Five Millionth Marriage License

Britney Spears and Jason Alexander, Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner, Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, are all among those who have tied the knot in Las Vegas, and now the city known as the ‘Wedding Capital of the World’ will soon have more evidence to support that moniker as the 5-millionth marriage license to be issued in Clark County, Nevada since its founding in 1909 is expected to be handed out this month. In celebration, the county is celebrating ‘Wedding Month’ with many special activations including a pop-up marriage license office at Harry Reid International Airport (formerly McCarran Airport) and the Welcome to Las Vegas sign will be lit with red, white and pink bulbs on Feb. 17.

Bally’s to Become Horseshoe Las Vegas

Bally’s Hotel & Casino on the strip is finally about to undergo a long overdue makeover. The casino will begin a transformation to become Horseshoe Las Vegas this spring with completion set for the end of the year. Caesars Entertainment announced the changes will include a (very welcome) renovated exterior, new entertainment choices, fresh food and beverage options and a reimagined casino floor plus public areas. The property is the site of the original MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, which opened in 1973, before becoming Bally’s in 1986. The original Horseshoe opened on Fremont Street in 1951.

NHL and NFL Take Las Vegas This Weekend

This weekend in Vegas is a sports lovers dream. Head to T-Mobile Arena on Feb. 5 for the 2022 NHL All-Star Game where hockey’s best players will duke it out in a fast-paced, three game, 3-on-3 tournament. On Feb. 6, just a week before the Big Game in L.A., the NFL’s Pro Bowl heads to Vegas, the home of the Raiders, for the first time at Allegiant Stadium. Football’s biggest stars will represent their teams, cities and fans. For a true Vegas nightlife experience during the game, visit Wynn field club inside the stadium. In related news, the NFL Draft will come to Vegas for the first time in April.

Next weekend the Cincinnati Bengals take on the LA Rams at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, but many fans will be placing their bets from Vegas at the many, many viewing parties across the city. Garth Brooks Presents His One Man Show

There may be no more celebrated live performer than Garth Brooks, who played to a sold out crowd of 65,000 at Allegiant Stadium on July 10. Brooks returns to Vegas on Feb. 4 and Feb. 5 for his sold out  ‘Garth Brooks: The One Man Show’ at Dolby Live at Park MGM, ahead of his 60th birthday on Feb. 7. The two shows will feature Brooks with an acoustic performance set-up, which he also recently performed in Nashville at the Ryman and Grand Ole Opry. Brooks next heads to San Diego for his stadium tour at Petco Park on March 5, where 50,000 tickets have been sold!

Superstar Performers Take Up Residencies Across Vegas

Keeping it country, Luke Bryan Vegas is the name of Bryan’s new residency, debuting Feb. 11 at Resorts World Theatre and running through the month. His fellow American Idol judge, Katy Perry, launched her residency there in December. She just announced her Katy Perry: Play residency has added dates May 27-June 11. Of course, 2005 American Idol winner, Carrie Underwood, was the first artist to play the Resorts World theater in early December. A couple of blocks away, their Idol colleague, Lionel Richie, is playing the Encore Theater at Wynn Las Vegas on Feb. 4 and 5. Down the strip, Shania Twain returns for her Let’s Go residency at the Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino with dates Feb. 11-26. And Keith Urban has added dates to his residency, March 25-April 2 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, taking over several slots left empty by Adele’s abrupt cancellation of her shows in January. Meanwhile, the ‘Hello’ singer has announced she will perform at the Brit Awards on Feb. 8, so at least her fans can watch her on TV. In more residency news, Sammy Hagar has announced six new performance dates for his run at The Strat Hotel, Casino & Skypod. The new dates are Feb. 9, 11, 12 and March 23, 25, and 26. And, Lady Gaga this week announced she will return to Dolby Live at Park MGM in the spring to perform her critically acclaimed Jazz & Piano show over nine dates beginning April 14 through May 1. RuPaul’s Drag Race Live! Adds New Queens

Some of the biggest all stars from RuPaul’s Drag Race are hitting the stage Live! at Flamingo Las Vegas. On Feb. 3, Eureka O’Hara, Jaida Essence Hall, Plastique Tiara and Trinity K Bonet joined the rotating cast which also includes current cast members Asia O’Hara, Derrick Barry, Kameron Michaels, Naomi Smalls and Vanessa ‘Vanjie’ Mateo, who have performed in the show since it opened in January 2020. Three fierce new production numbers have also been added to the show which comes from the creative team behind the Emmy Award-winning RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Andrea Bocelli Hits MGM Grand for Valentine’s Week

Celebrate Valentine’s week with legendary Italian operatic tenor, Andrea Bocelli, and his annual “In Concert For Valentine’s” tour.  Bocelli will play MGM Grand Garden Arena on Feb. 18. The concert will showcase some of Bocelli’s most romantic music including songs from his inspiring new album, Believe. In addition, his 24-year-old son, Matteo Bocelli, who has his own musical styling, will perform two songs during the show. Matteo launched this year with an uplifting new single and video, “Close.”

Drai’s, Omnia, and Light Nightclubs Set Performers

Drai’s will turn things up this month. The club is reopening its doors for Sunday night performances. Starting Feb. 4, Ludacris takes the stage, followed by DaBaby on Feb. 5, Lil Baby on Feb. 6, then Wiz Khalifa Feb. 11, 2 Chainz on Feb. 12 and Gucci Mane’s Official Birthday Celebration on Feb. 13. Across the street at Omnia at Caesars Palace, Kaskade performs Friday and again on March 19 and catch Martin Garrix on Saturday, with return performances Feb. 12 and Feb. 26. Meanwhile, further down the strip, LIGHT nightclub at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino has announced its grand reopening weekend with performances by Wycleaf Jean on Feb. 11 and Sam Hunt on Feb. 12. ‘Breaking Bad’ Stars Shake and Stir

Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul, the stars of ‘Breaking Bad,’ surprised patrons on Jan. 29 at Carversteak, the new luxury steakhouse at Resorts World Las Vegas. The actors and co-founders of Dos Hombres mezcal, went behind the bar to mix and serve negronis and margaritas. The duo then signed bottles of their mezcal for appreciative fans. The next day, the friends got a preview of the major remodel happening at TAO Beach Dayclub at The Venetian Resort before wrapping up their weekend with dinner at TAO Asian Bistro.

Thunder Dancers Show NHL Mascots How to Move

From a gentlemen’s club to Thunder From Down Under for the ladies (and some men), in conjunction with this weekend’s NHL All-Star festivities, several NHL team mascots were invited to take part in Vegas traditions on Feb. 2. During one lesson, the mascots learned some dance moves from the guys of Australia’s male revue. Thunder From Down Under runs nightly (except Tuesdays) at Excalibur Hotel Casino.
