Key and Peele’s Keanu Will Screen at SXSW

The film will be shown as a work-in-progress

In January, Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele released the red band trailer for their upcoming feature, Keanu. The film tells the story of the untimely kidnapping of a kitten named Keanu, who Peele’s character had just adopted following a bad break-up. Turns out that Keanu was kidnapped by a group of L.A. gangbangers, and the duo have to risk life and limb in order to get him back.

The movie is scheduled to be released in theaters on April 29, but the SXSW Film Festival just announced that it will screen a preview at midnight at 12:30 a.m. on March 13. Keanu will be shown as a work-in-progress.
