International Pillow Fight Day Is Coming to L.A. and It Might Be Just What the Doctor Ordered

We are so there

April 1 is traditionally a day to remain on high alert, especially when it comes to news that seems too good (or weird) to be true. That’s why we’re telling you in advance that it’s also International Pillow Fight Day, meaning you’ll be able to find us at Pershing Square at 4 p.m, giddy with anticipation. Since there are about 18 other cities participating (including Bangalore, Seattle, London, Toronto, and New York), we’re guessing this isn’t a super intricate April Fools joke. But, well, you never know.

The time we were part of the world’s biggest pillow fight at Trafalgar Square in London! #internationalpillowfightday

The annual free event was conceived by co-founders Kevin Bracken and Lori Kufner of Newmindspace. (They’re also the masterminds behind the successful Glow Battle that lit up Pershing Square in December.) The pair provides some good tips on their website for anyone planning a pillow fight, including using soft pillows only, not swinging at people without pillows or with cameras, and removing glasses beforehand.

And heads up: Both Macy’s and Bed Bath & Beyond are having President’s Day sales that include pillows. So really you have no excuse not to join in the fun.
