How to Make Your Golden Globes Viewing Feel Like a Party

Even the nominees have been told to stay home this year, but if you want to glam it up, we have ideas

The Golden Globes (Sunday, February 28) may not have the industry respect of the Academy Awards, but the annual ceremony is at least known for the parties it spawns. This year, that’s obviously off for everyone–even the stars. Per a memo from the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, even nominees should stay home with only household members (as Variety pointed out, that means no gatherings like the one the Schitt’s Creek cast threw for themselves in Toronto to accept their massive Emmy haul as a pod last year).

So whether you’re affiliated with a film or show that’s up for awards or you just want an excuse to do something a little different on a Sunday night, here are some food and drink options to help you turn your living room into the most exclusive Hollywood shindig.

Moët & Chandon x Cocktail Courier

This is the 30th year that Moët & Chandon has been the official Champagne of the Golden Globes. To serve the night’s official cocktail, the Golden Fizz, remotely, Moët & Chandon partnered with cocktail delivery service Cocktail Courier on a glamorous awards night kit–and they’re making it available to the public, too. Order at cocktailcourier.com

AKASHA

You know how, when you’re at a big party, there’s always some delicious-looking food that a waiter carries by one time, but you can’t snag it because you’re stuck in a dead-end convo with a weirdo? Well, when you order AKASHA party food at home, it’s just you and all the crab cakes, pigs in a blanket, and cocktails you could want. Order on Tock.

Lucques Catering

Chic cocktail party-style bites are available (including in an hors d’oeuvre sampler platter with selections of several favorites) or you can opt for an elegant sit-down meal like you’re dining at one of those round tables packed into the Beverly Hilton ballroom. Order on Tock.

Jean-Georges Beverly Hills

Glamorous Jean-Georges at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel is a Hollywood hotspot, so they naturally have a Golden Globes party package on deck. Designed to serve four, the package includes a lush crustacean platter, sushi, truffle fritters, and other fancy treats. Order on Tock.

Monty’s Good Burger

Joaquin Phoenix, presenting at this year’s Golden Globes, is known to be a fan of all-vegan Monty’s Good Burger (you remember the photos of his Oscars after-party with a bag of their delicious burgers and fries). Place an order for pick up before or after the telecast. Order on website.

L’Antica Pizzeria da Michele

Ordering pizza? Consider upgrading your usual pie and a two-liter with Pizzeria da Michele’s five-course Golden Globes special, which includes truffle arancini, gnoco fritto, a double caesar salad, cacio e pepe, and, of course, their signature margherita pizza, all for $100. For an extra $20 bucks, they’ll throw in a couple of yummy cocktails. Order on website or by phone (323) 366-2408.
