This morning, after some mostly humorous, mildly awkward banter, actors Ken Jeong and D’Arcy Carden announced the 2019 Emmy nominees in a dozen of the categories that will air during the 71st Emmy Awards telecast on September 22 on Fox. (The Creative Arts Emmys take place September 14 and 15 at the Microsoft Theater in DTLA.)

The streamers showed up in a big way, particularly in the Lead Actress in a Comedy category; four of the six women were nominated for streaming shows. HBO still dominates, with nominations for Game of Thrones, Chernobyl, Veep, True Detective, Sharp Objects, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Brexit, Deadwood: The Movie, My Dinner with Herve, and Barry.
