Disneyland Is Hosting an Exclusive Star Wars Night and Our Lightsabers Are Already Rattling with Excitement

Fandoms collide for a one-night-only extravaganza

Let us now combine all your favorite things into one big night: Disneyland, plus Star Wars, plus awesome after-hours parties.

Disneyland just announced the next event of their brand-new Disneyland After Dark series, and the theme is Star Wars. Buying a ticket to the May 3 evening event grants visitors early access to some of the hotly anticipated Star Wars neighborhood at the park, including special live entertainment, character appearances, immersive environments for photo-ops, and more.

Among the exclusives that fans will flip for: a special chance to meet the “Rey” character at the new Star Wars Launch Bay attraction, themed décor and environments that will only exist for the night, a chance to celebrate the re-launch of Hyperspace Mountain (fka Space Mountain), and the opportunity to be the first group of guests to ever see the new “March of the First Order” performance, which features “Captain Phasma” leading a parade of stormtroopers through Tommorowland.

And the significance of the date? Well, it’s so you can pick up some exclusive, punny garb and merch to sport the next day, on “May the Fourth.” A play on the franchise’s signature tiding, “May the force be with you.”

Tickets ($99) will go on sale March 27 for folks who already hold Disneyland annual passes, and March 29 for the general public. The nighttime party goes from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Star Wars Night will be the second event in the After Dark series. The first event took place back in January and honored Disney’s midcentury vintage style.
