For many of us, getting back out to see live music is right at the top of our post-pandemic to-do lists. Now, as our collective Shot Girl Summer approaches, venues are starting to roll out listings for concerts in 2021. Here’s our guide to where you can see a show this summer.

Outdoor Venues for 2021 Concerts
The Hollywood Bowl

Historic L.A. amphitheater the Hollywood Bowl is back with a robust season of programming. Events begin on May 15 with special concerts for pandemic responders and on July 3 for the general public. 2301 N. Highland Ave., Hollywood.
Lineup highlights: Kamasi Washington and Earl Sweatshirt (July 18), H.E.R. (August 13, 14), Yo-Yo Ma (September 14)
Greek Theatre Los Angeles

This outdoor venue tucked into Griffith Park is always a summer favorite and was one of the first local performance spaces to announce concerts for 2021. 2700 N. Vermont Ave., Griffith Park.
Lineup highlights: Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit (July 27), Alicia Keys (September 7, 8), Sylvan Esso (September 10), John Legend (September 21)
FivePoint Amphitheater

FivePoint is the latest iteration of what was previously known as the Irvine Meadows Amphitheater, and is ready to host a series of large summer concerts starting on July 17. 14800 Chinon, Irvine.
Lineup highlights: Rise Against (August 21), Megadeath and Lamb of God (September 1), Chain Fest: Jimmy Eat World, Taking Back Sunday, Circa Survive, Saves the Day, et al. (October 23)
Pappy & Harriet’s

The vibiest little restaurant and music venue in the desert has an outdoor space for live music under the stars. Summer concerts for 2021 start on June 6. 53688 Pioneertown Rd., Pioneertown.
Lineup highlights: Alex G (August 7), Waxahatchee (September 25), Idles (October 30, 31)
Hollywood Forever Cemetery

Better known for outdoor film screenings (and being a cemetery), Hollywood Forever hosts occasional outdoor concerts. 6000 Santa Monica Blvd., Hollywood.
Lineup highlights: Glass Animals (September 18, 19), Lord Huron (September 29)
Banc of California Stadium

Banc of California Stadium hosted the nationally televised Vax Live concert, the first large concert held in L.A. since the pandemic. The venue, normally a soccer arena, will host a small number of summer and fall events. 3939 S. Figueroa St., Exposition Park
Lineup highlights: Guns N’ Roses (August 19), Kygo (September 10), RÜFÜS DU SOL (Noveber 12, 13)
Indoor Venues for 2021 Concerts
The Wiltern

With lots of space inside to spread out, the Wiltern has plans to resume concerts in July. Note: Several concerts originally scheduled for the Hollywood Palladium have now been rescheduled to the Wiltern. 3790 Wilshire Blvd., Koreatown.
Lineup highlights: The Flaming Lips (August 20), Cold Cave (August 28), Grateful Shred (October 31)
Regent DTLA

This large indoor club currently has plans to restart concerts at the end of summer, but may be adding additional dates as conditions allow. 448 S Main St., downtown.
Lineup highlights: J Stone (August 14), Coeur de Pirate (September 16), Japanese Breakfast (October 2, 3), Dan Deacon (October 22)
Teragram Ballroom

Teragram Ballroom currently has one show booked in the middle of summer–Soulive on July 29–but will be starting most shows in September. 1234 W. 7th St., Westlake.
Lineup highlights: Andrew W.K. (September 10), Ty Segall (September 11, 12), Fuzz (October 7, 8, 9), Allah-Las (October 26)
The Fonda Theatre

Shows at the Fonda aren’t scheduled to start up until September–but once they do, the club has one of the busier show calendars announced thus far. 6126 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood.
Lineup highlights: Big Freedia (September 7), Tennis (October 11, 12), Soccer Mommy (October 28), Idles (November 3, 4, 5), Dawes (November 26, 27)
