Fifteen years ago, Legally Blonde introduced us to Elle Woods, a bubbly, determined California girl who sets her sights on attending Harvard Law (you know, the place for people who are boring and ugly and serious). While the majority of the movie takes place in the east coast, most of it was actually filmed right here in Los Angeles. If you’re an L.A. native, chances are you’ve probably sashayed in the very same places as Elle without even knowing it. Whether it’s the Delta Nu house, Harvard Law School, or the famous nail salon where the Bend and Snap was born, you can find some of the movie’s most iconic filming locations below. Happy #LegallyBlonde15!
All Saints Episcopal Church
132 North Euclid Avenue, Pasadena
After Elle’s traumatizing first day of law school, she sulks in a bench shot behind the garden patio of All Saints Church in Pasadena.
9018 Burton Way., Beverly Hills
This romantic Italian restaurant is where Warner and Elle have their anniversary dinner. The lowlit setting is perfect for serious talks—and serious meltdowns.
California Institute of Technology
345 South Hill Ave., Pasadena
Three of Caltech’s buildings were transformed into fictional sororities depicted in the movie’s opening scene, including Delta Nu.
University of Southern California
3535 S Figueroa Street., Los Angeles
USC’s Bovard Auditorium, as well as school avenue Trousdale Parkway, were used to depict Harvard’s campus.
University of California, Los Angeles
308 Westwood Plaza., Los Angeles
The scene where Elle arrives at Harvard and picks up her class schedule is filmed at UCLA’s Kerckhoff Hall. The orientation scene is also filmed at Kerckhoff’s front lawn.
625 South Myrtle Avenue., Monrovia
The location is now a storefront occupied by astore called Empire Bikes, but Elle and Paulette bond over their cuticles at a salon called Neptune’s Beauty Nook in the film.
