Can You Tell if the Author is Lying?

The Barnsdall Art Park quiz night Bamboozled: Fact. Fiction. Art? is looking for literary master sleuths

No, this isn’t an evening at the Barnsdall Art Park playing that weird fake quiz show Joey came up with on Friends, but it does sound just as fun.

Bamboozled: Fact. Fiction. Art?, which can be caught at the iconic Barnsdall Art Park Theatre on April 1, is a unique type of fundraiser (kicking off the Park’s new reading series) where four writers read stories and let the audience decide whether it’s fact or fiction. Whomever gets the most answers right will walk home with signed copies of books by the four readers. Curated by writer Diana Wagman and hosted by radio reporter Rico Gagliano, Bamboozled: Fact. Fiction. Art? features readings by notable L.A. authors including Lisa Teasley, Deborah Vankin, Bill Lambrinides, and Cherry Chevapravatdumrong.

In addition to the quiz, artist and muralist Annie Preece will be working on a live painting inspired by the stories told over the course of the evening.

Tickets are $10 and available right here.
