Infinite Light 2017 by NuRoots

Organized by the NuRoots initiative of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, Infinite Light is a city-wide celebration of Hannukkah, featuring curated experiences happening all over town. Options include a “Downdogs and Donuts” yoga sesh, comedy nights, LGBTQ-inclusive celebrations, and other fun and festive events.
Living comedy legend Carol Burnett takes the stage for a night of looking back and celebrating her career, including story-telling, vintage video clips, and lots of fun and unfiltered audience q-and-a.
American Contemporary Ballet’s The Nutcracker Suite at Bloc
December 15, 16, and 17
Even if you think you’ve seen every version of The Nutcracker under the sun, this immersive, modernist staging by American Contemporary Ballet in a dreamy DTLA loft space looks at the classic with fresh, new eyes.
Red Bull Sound Select presents this holiday season benefit concert in support of My Friend’s Place, a shelter for local homeless youth. Chart-topping star DJ Mija curates an eclectic night of performances, which also includes the jazzy R&B duo Tenneyon, PJ Harvey-esque experimental rocker Kelli Schaefer, and a surprise guest.
One of Broadway’s loveliest vintage cinema palaces plays host to Cinespia’s holiday party, featuring one of the all-time great holiday movies, Home Alone. Dress up in your PJs or Christmas sweaters, pose in the festive photo booth, indulge at a McConnell’s Ice Cream sundae bar, and more.
