Calling all cinephiles: ArcLight Cinemas announced today that it is expanding to the East Coast. The 10-year-old theatre company will unveil its first cross-country venue in Bethesda, Maryland in 2014. The Bethesda theatre—ArcLight’s first outside the Golden State—will feature the usual amenities: reserved seating, print-at-home ticketing, commercial-free movies, and “gourmet” food. (Gourmet by movie theater standards, anyway.) Marylanders can also join ArcLight’s membership program, which includes reward points and advanced notices for special films and events. With homegrown brands like ArcLight and In-N-Out expanding eastward, we only have one question: Where’s our Dunkin’ Donuts?!
