Alice in Chains Will Join Guns N’ Roses for Las Vegas Reunion Shows

If ever there was a time for a westerly road trip, this is it

Dust off your American flag bandanas and your white spandex shorts: When Guns N’ Roses hits the stage in Las Vegas this April, Alice in Chains will be right there with them.

The news that the two bands would be collaborating broke today on Twitter, with Gn’R letting fans know early this morning:

The April 8 and 9 shows at the T-Mobile Arena are part of a build-up to the band’s big reunion at Coachella, and the Coachella performance is part of a build-up to the band’s anticipated reunion tour. Those in the know will recall that the 1980s hair metal gods have long been at odds, with lead singer Axl Rose even refusing to join his former bandmates onstage in 2012 for their induction into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame.

But according to the Independent, Slash recently reassured the concerned that any bad feelings have been put to rest. “Over time,” he said, “we all just got sick and tired of the black cloud.”
