Expect Trump-Related Traffic in L.A. Today

Donald Trump is in town to fundraise and meet with Olympics organizers

Get ready for another Trump Traffic Jam. The president who loves to criticize Hollywood on Twitter is paying yet another visit to L.A. This time around, he’ll be meeting with officials from the 2028 Olympic Organizing Committee and then participating in a fundraising event featuring a “roundtable discussion,” according to CBS Los Angeles.

While a complete list of street closures has not been officially released, the White House schedule indicates Air Force One will land at LAX at around 3 p.m., after which Trump will travel to Beverly Hills for the meeting and fundraiser, and then back to LAX in time to take off for Las Vegas at 7:30 p.m. Beverly Hills police say they will be closing Crescent Drive between North Santa Monica Boulevard and South Santa Monica Boulevard from 10 a.m. today until 10 p.m. tonight.

The president’s visits are often met with protests. A group known as Refuse Facism has announced they will hold an anti-Trump rally at Beverly Gardens Park starting at 5:30 p.m.

After the L.A. trip, Trump is scheduled to spend the night in Nevada, then travel to Bakersfield on Wednesday to “meet with the farming community” and visit with Kevin McCarthy, one of the president’s closest allies in Congress, who represents the area.
