Donald Trump’s two-day visit to California, during which he’ll collect an estimated $15 mil from donors from Silicon Valley to San Diego, commences today.
According to the L.A. Times, after a midday visit to Palo Alto, Trump will arrive at LAX at 3:25 and head downtown, where he’s reportedly staying. From there he’ll head to Beverly Hills for a fundraising event, arriving at 6 p.m. Local real estate developer and Trump ally Geoff Palmer is expected to host according to what donors told CNBC. After that, the president will reportedly return downtown for the rest of the evening.
The Times reports the following street closures will be in effect “through midday Wednesday.”
- Figueroa Boulevard from 6th to 8th streets
- Wilshire Boulevard from Flower Street to Beaudry Avenue
- 7th Street from Flower to Bixel streets
Additional street closures near Trump’s undisclosed DTLA destination will be announced by the LAPD later in the day. Beverly Hills and Santa Monica closures have not been announced by those police departments.
