Last night we witnessed the fourth and final blood moon of the 2014-2015 lunar tetrad. The red-hued lunar eclipse was made all the more ominous by coinciding with a supermoon, which occurs when the moon is at its closest to earth. Though red hue of the “super blood moon” may have sparked anxiety for the end times, it also inspired a lot of spectacular Instagram shots. If you missed it and don’t want to wait until 2033 to see the next one, don’t fret: We’ve compiled some of the best, most foreboding photos of the lunar event, and you don’t even have to crane your neck to see them.
