Mayor Garcetti Has Issued a Statement About the Rain

88

Lest anyone celebrate our collective wish for rain coming true by hosting a Waterworld-inspired bash in their front yards, Mayor Garcetti has issued the following statement on this week’s storm to dampen (yup) local excitement:

“Every little bit of rain helps, but our drought emergency remains critical. Angelenos must continue aggressive conservation efforts, and in the wake of this storm, sprinklers should be turned off for at least a week. The city offers rebates for smart sprinklers and for low-water landscaping. Visit SaveTheDropLA.org for water conservation tips and information about rebates.”
