Dig out your vuvuzela out from the back of your closet. L.A.’s second Major League Soccer team, which will debut in the 2018 season, has made its name, Los Angeles Football Club, official. The team’s leadership calls it LAFC for short. The choice may seem uninspired, but remember, L.A. Galaxy was already taken.
Next on the LAFC’s to-do list: select team colors—fans can weigh in via social media this week—and build a $250 million stadium at the site of the former Los Angeles Sports Arena.
