LAPD Purchases New Sophisticated Heat Beam Which We Call a “Laser”

Valley Traffic Officer Troy Williams along with motorcycle officers from the Valley Traffic Division of the Los Angeles Police Department will demonstrate for members of the media on Thursday a new laser capable of pinpointing a vehicle’s speed and recording violations in real time, even in dense traffic (although we imagine speeding in dense traffic would be difficult to do). What’s more, the devise, of which the department purchased ten, can record an image of a vehicle’s license plate and track vehicles up to 1,000 feet away. We suspect that Dr. Evil, were he real and a traffic officer, would be pleased.
