Hollywood Heartbreak: Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson Are Finished

Sources say the 13-year difference between one of the richest, most influential women in media and the standup was an issue

Kim Kardashian, Empress-God of a multi-billion-dollar family media dynasty, has split from comedian and former Saturday Night Live player Pete Davidson.

“They did break up this week amicably due to distance and schedules,” a source told CNN Saturday.

“Part of the reason they split was because of their busy schedules,” another source tipped People. “They both travel all the time and it was hard.”

Yet another confidential informant vouchsafed to Page Six that what specifically wrecked the whirlwind romance after nine months was a Demi Moore-Ashton Kutcher type situation. Except this is a 13-year difference between the richest, perhaps most influential woman in media. And Pete Davidson.

“Pete is 28 and Kim is 41—they are just in very different places at the moment,” the person told Page Six. “Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York, or wherever he is on a moment’s notices. But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”

The source added that Kardashian was “totally exhausted by this relationship and other things going on in her life.”

For a relationship that barely lasted as long as a sophomore year fling, Davidson did commit, in his own way.

Earlier this year, Kardashian confirmed Davidson had gotten her name branded on his chest, Fox News recalls. Although fans—of Davidson, Kardashian, or Kim’s ex Kanye West, remains unclear—first freaked out that the King of Staten Island star had gotten K.K.’s name inked across his flesh, Kardashian explained to Ellen Degeneres that they were worrying over nothing:

“He has a few tattoos, a few cute ones that he got [for me]. But the ‘Kim’ one is not actually a tattoo. It’s a branding.”

The reports all agree that the contentious, everlasting divorce between Kardashian and West was too much for the K.K.-Davidson romance to bear. It was a major, public issue between Davidson and ultimate O.G. influencer Kardashian from the start of their relationship—blowing up in particularly ugly fashion in March, when Kanye’s social media antics regarding Kardashian and Davidson reportedly helped get West banned from the Grammys.

Page Six’s spy explained, “When Kim is with someone else, Kanye can cause problems with the kids. He tries to divide and conquer. He can’t help it. Kim is a really dedicated mother, and her kids will always come first. She wants and needs harmony at home and in her life.”

In another indicator that the divorce is continuing to take up more of Kardashian’s waking moments than is quite reasonable, Kanye was fired by his fifth divorce attorney on Friday in Los Angeles.

As TMZ reports, Kardashian and West had a trial-setting conference scheduled for Friday in L.A. as part of their divorce. But West’s current divorce attorney, Samantha Spector, had already asked the judge to relieve her as counsel, saying her relationship with West was irretrievably broken, although she declined to specify a reason.

Spector was scheduled to officially withdraw this week, but the judge granted her withdrawal request Friday—meaning she is another lawyer free of Kanye, but it gives West a chance to further delay the proceedings.

However, the judge has told West that the he’s inclined to begin the case in December, regardless of any upcoming distractions.

It is unclear where Davidson, who quit SNL in May, will go from here.
