You Can’t Eat the Sunshine is a weekly podcast series produced by Kim Cooper and Richard Schave in which the Esotouric founders talk with L.A. personalities about the city’s myths, contradictions, and inspirations.
This week, Richard and Kim chat with the delightful proprietor of Eatalian Café in Gardena, a Mr. Antonio Pellini. The trio chat about Pellini’s impressive espresso machine, which boasts the capability of making 12 espressos at the same time. In fact, the machine is one of two in the world (the other is in Austria). The company stopped making them, Pellini explains, because for all intents and purposes, they’re absurdly large (see the image above).
In this exclusive clip, the two also talk with Swami Atmatatvenanda, who enlightens the pair about mystic British writer Gerald Heard’s experiences at Hollywood’s Vedanta Society ashram. Listen on to learn more…
