GOOD and Neighbor Agency L.A. Organize 1st Annual NeighborDay

The two organizations teamed up with Venice coffee shops to show that our neighbors are good for more than a cup of sugar.

This past weekend, creative marketing company Neighbor Agency and local humanitarians partnered together to bring their inaugural NeighborDay event to Venice.

The caffeine-swathed affair, which took place from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Saturday morning, enlisted the help of neighborhood coffee shops (including Abbots Habit, The Talking Stick, and Groundwork Coffee Co.) to orchestrate coffee samplings and neighborly activities. For their part, Neighbor Agency and GOOD hosted a pop-up coffee co-op in Neighbor Agency’s backyard, all in the hopes of fomenting a sense of community amongst Venice inhabitants.

If the slide show above is any indication, NeighborDay was a huge success (coffee, dogs, conversation, small children with donuts—what could be better). And while the event comes but once a year, it doesn’t mean you can’t be proactive in the interim: next time you knock on your neighbor’s door, skip the cup of sugar and take them out to coffee.
