While Larry King may no longer be hosting his decades-long CNN talk show come fall, fans will still be able to see their favorite deli-lover hosting the Chabad “To Life!” telethon, broadcast live on August 29. Earlier this summer, King announced that he’d be leaving his iconic show (which recently made the Guinness Book of World Records) to spend more time with his wife (the 7th) and kids.
In the past, the telethon has been hosted by Hollywood comedians Milton Berle, Cid Ceaser, and the telethon’s founding host Jan Murray, among other celebrities. Last year’s broadcast raised over $7 million in donations, which support Chabad outreach centers and educational programs.
Guess King won’t be “hanging up his nightly suspenders” just yet!
