L.A. has a new queen. Drew Washington, along with her court (six princesses in all), was crowned Rose Queen today during an official coronation ceremony at the Pasadena Convention Center. Washington, 16, attends Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy where she’s captain of her school’s varsity volleyball and track and field teams. She has quite a full dance card for the next few months. An official ambassador of the Tournament of Roses, she’ll contribute in about 150 community and media functions. At least she gets to sit on that float.
