Design on a Dime

We just heard from architect Dion Neutra about the incredible Gillen House he and his father Richard Neutra completed in 1955. Outside of some dubious décor, and the fact that it’s halfway between Los Angeles and Palm Springs, it’s a pretty incredible and unmolested 2600-sq.-ft. post-and-beam Neutra.  Up the ante by throwing in original woodwork, a guest house, a hillside location, two acres of land and a sparkling pool. Now how much would you pay? Survey says: $299,000. Somebody please get out there and save this house being marketed as a “Contractors dream.”
