Only in L.A. can we spin a state-wide calamity into a holiday. (A Twitter holiday, that is.) Beginning at 11a.m. PST, water organizations and conservationists the world over will use social media to discuss solutions (pun intended) for California’s crippling drought using the hashtag #DroughtDay, signifying the first ever nationwide observance of the four-year problem. Join the conversation online or participate in a more concrete way: #DroughtDay organizers are asking that we all skip today’s shower.
