Yesterday was big: The Lakers came back from two losses in Boston to tie the NBA finals here in L.A., Sting performed at the Hollywood Bowl, backed by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra (oh, everyone was there! Trudie Styler, Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Smith, Donovan Leitch and Kirsty Hume, Kathryn Bigelow, Mario Bello, Robert Downey Jr…) and Imperial Bedrooms, Bret Easton Ellis’ much-anticipated sequel to Less Than Zero, finally hit shelves.
To celebrate the latter, Ellis himself will be reading from Imperial Bedrooms before signing books and screening a new short film inspired by his work over at Largo at the Coronet tonight. Around the corner, Comme Ca (which is featured in the book) is offering a three-course menu inspired by the writer and recent Los Angeles magazine profile subject (steak friteswith a side of notoriety, anyone?). With special guests like James Van Der Beek, Joel McHale, and Jerry Stahl expected to attend, reservations are strongly recommended.
