As most of America thaws out from the Polar Vortex, I’m reminded just how lucky we are to live in this sunny, temperate, nearly perfect climate. Actually, I’m reminded of this every time I post an outdoors photo on my blog (the number of curse words that end up populating the comments field from those who don’t live in L.A. makes it pretty clear.) As I type this, it’s 84 degrees outside, and I’m about to head out on a walk. I snapped this picture while walking through Santa Monica on what was, for us, a similarly beautiful day. For the most of the country, it was cold and dreary. I know it’s not nice, but sometimes we just have to brag.
