The cacophonous, colorful and wonderfully wacky world of Nickelodon’s Yo Gabba Gabba becomes the subject of artistic interpretation when some of L.A’s most cacophonous and colorful artists come together to create a new exhibition at Meltdown Comics. “Here is my Art: a Yo Gabba Gabba Gallery Show“ opens at the Sunset Boulevard comic shop with a reception on June 3rd. The art director and co-creator of the surreal kids show create homages to the cult favorite along with guest stars like Devo front man Mark Mothersbaugh, comedian Charlyne Yi and internet ‘cewebrity’ Leslie Hall. The opening will also feature cocktails by Silver Lake mixologists Alie & Georgia. If you see a 7-foot red Cyclops after you leave the exhibit, you may have had too much to drink.
