What do those Monopoly men who are plastered all over town signify?

An artist who goes by the name Alec Monopoly has been spray-painting, stenciling, and wheat-pasting images of Rich Uncle Milburn Pennybags, the man with the top hat you know from Monopoly games, on local utility boxes, buildings, and street lamps since 2008. To the artist, who keeps his real name a secret, the figures represent “evil corporate people and money interests.” Despite Alec’s disdain for filthy lucre, he sells limited-edition, hand-finished prints at alecmonopoly.com.
