I’m so enamored with the endless diversity and unusual juxtapositions in our magic city. How cool is it that “Foods of Nature” and “Tom’s Super Burgers II” peacefully co-exist in the same mini mall on Robertson near Pico? On a quiet side street behind the shopping center, an ancient Sikh tradition is playing out every Sunday. Check out this look inside the Guru Ram Das Ashram, the “Golden Temple of The West” and the birthplace of Kundalini Yoga in Los Angeles, at 3:25 in you can see their ritual floor washing ceremony. The ashram sometimes offers vegetarian meals to the community. That might be a good time to visit, and admire all those swords, tusks, accordions and good deeds inside.
