Tomorrow evening the Griffith Observatory pays tribute to the late author Ray Bradbury at their monthly All Space Considered lecture series. The free program looks at what’s new in science and space, including a secret spy shuttle, the new nuclear spectroscopic telescope from Cal Tech and a look back at Bradbury with Star Trek producer Andre Bormanis. Bradbury was a Los Angeles institution for decades, and told a great L.A. story in this magazine in 2010. I adored Bradbury and on more than one occasion sat at his feet trying to soak up his greatness. After watching this video, I wish I had been able to visit him in his library amidst his art and toys and comic books. I love the workplaces of creative people. Here’s a look inside his Cheviot Hills home in 1968.
