I have a tiny little cat/alarm clock that jumps on my face every morning at dawn, but I’d drop some kibbles ‘n bits if this creature from the Natural History Museum appeared at my door. Cheese and crackers! Check out this gigantic, terrifying saber tooth cat creation designed by the Jim Henson studios for the downtown museum. If you’re up for the challenge, you can visit the kitty at the La Brea Tar Pits this weekend. Even though I know there are two actors inside the 75-pound suit it’s still pretty scary. Afterwards, drop by the case filled with skulls and be grateful these mighty creatures left before we got here.
