Next Friday night the Los Angeles Zoo concludes their summer music series with food and drink, world music bands and animals “staying up past their bedtimes.” The “Global Fusion Night” will feature fermented refreshments from Eagle Rock and Golden Road Breweries and a menu that includes Banh Mi sandwiches, Maersenbier bratwurst and Italian sausages. I’m not a vegetarian, but I always feel awkward eating meat at the zoo. Speaking of unusual pairings, here’s an odd little clip of an L.A. Zoo tapir getting a massage. Watch out for that raised leg and enjoy the relaxing steel guitar.
