The First Patrons Stream Into Clifton’s Cafeteria

Following some unexpected delays, Clifton’s Cafeteria finally opened their doors to the public Thursday morning just after 11. The line to get in was already forming an hour earlier when we snapped this picture. The Esotouric folks were there and captured an opening day invocation by a patron named Brother Pancake.  A patriotic sing-along! Jazz flute! Their video is great. The public opening is the latest entry in my 127-year history of the famed cafeteria.  I’ll see you at the carving station.
