I’ve taken tours of Jelly Belly and Anchor Steam beer up north. Any places in the L.A. area where you can see the assembly line?

Bless you, I thought it was only my spine that tingled at the mention of loaner hard hats and clattering cans. Manufacturing has diminished around these parts, so it’s slim pickings. Robinson Helicopter allows a quick gander at chopper production; JPL, a cursory glance at spacecraft making. I prefer something that ends with a free sample: E. Waldo Ward jams and jellies, in Sierra Madre, or Graber Olives, in Ontario. Both businesses have track records dating more than 100 years and delicacies that will trounce a Bay Area jelly bean any day.
