I just got back from Vancouver, where I had an amazing experience at a movie theater: wine tasting and a supper that was gourmet all the way. Any dine-in places like that in Los Angeles?

Plenty. ArcLight and Cinespace in Hollywood offer chow and cocktails with certain screenings. At the Bridge’s Cinema De Lux in Westchester, there’s calamari and cheesecake, and the Muvico multiplex in Thousand Oaks lets you bring in seared ahi from its Bogart’s restaurant. For over the top, check out Gold Class Cinemas, set to open next month in Pasadena, where black-suited “ninjas” will deliver the main course to your seat and theme nights will feature a Julia Child recipe or James Bond cocktail. “We’ll still have Junior Mints,” says Gold Class marketing VP  Mark Mulcahy, “only they’ll be served in martini glasses.” Shaken, not stirred, I trust.
