Griffith Observatory Hosts Eclipse Watchers

How wonderful is the Griffith Observatory? Doesn’t it blow your mind that we live in a city capped by a giant Buck Rogers castle full of scientific fun? I know you’ve been thinking about that so-called “Ring of Fire” eclipse coming up on Sunday afternoon and wondering how you could view the solar event without going blind. The nice folks at Griffith are having a party with a free shuttle and scientists and affordable “Solarama” eclipse viewers for all. The Wolfgang Puck snack shop is open late and the heavenly wonder lasts more than two hours (5:24 p.m. – 7:42 p.m.)  so you can really make it a party. I think I’ll be at the Renaissance Fair trying to convince peasants that I control the sun.
