The L.A. Forum for Urban Design has been creating publications, showcasing local architects and leading house tours for 30 years, and it’s currently hosting its first online auction. As you might expect, it’s selling books (Frank Gehry, Thom Mayne, and Barbara Bestor are represented) as well as tours, but that’s not the fun part. You can buy some time in Jackie Treehorn’s pad from The Big Lebowski (Lautner’s Sheats-Goldstein house). You can bid to throw a cocktail party in Richard Neutra’s compound in Silver Lake. There’s also the sound bath inside a geomagnetic vortex in the Mojave, dishwasher-safe 3-D printed menswear filled with aluminum dust (whaaa?), and a glamorous champagne toast on an unfinished cul-de-sac in the middle of the desert.
