Ask Chris: Who Put the Brakes on Drag Racing in Long Beach and San Fernando? Was It Too Dangerous?

Complaints about engine noise drove the hot rods away from Lions Drag Strip in Long Beach and the San Fernando Raceway. Police also began cracking down on illegal street racing taking place near the sites.
