Q: My puppy loves to play on the sand. Is there any beach in L.A. that allows dogs?
A: There are more dogs in L.A. County (900,000 plus) than humans in San Francisco, and all those pups have just one sandy place to play: Rosie’s Dog Beach in Long Beach. Former Disney singer Justin Rudd spent more than three years lobbying the city council to allow his bulldogs near the water. The park, which opened in 2003, was recently expanded to four acres and hosts bulldog beauty pageants, adoptions, and a Howl’oween Parade.
