Who’s the guy behind the chicken murals in Echo Park, East Hollywood, and near the Jewelry Mart downtown?

The pollo grande who painted the dozens of cartoon chickens is “Cache,” a 33-year-old bike messenger who grew up in Guatemala and around MacArthur Park. He often depicts his birds pedaling furiously with their extralong legs, but sometimes he shows them in a scene from A Clockwork Orange. Cache, who wishes to remain anonymous, wants his drawings to make you feel good. “If you feel happy in your environment,” he says, “you’ll be a really chill person.”
