You’re going to Caesars Palace, but leave the Hangover fantasies in your Netflix queue.
Sleep: The hotel’s new Octavius Tower doesn’t allow tigers, anyway. Octavius has its own entrance and lobby. The smallest rooms are 550 square feet, and you can stream content from your computer, tablet, or smart phone onto the flat screens.
Sip: Start with a latte at the Beat Coffeehouse & Records in the gallery-filled Emergency Arts complex. Don’t loiter, though: You’ve scheduled a tour of the Neon Boneyard, the final resting place for tons of vintage Vegas signage. It’s pure, surreal fun.
Visit: Then you’re off to the new Mob Museum, a surprisingly thoughtful and inventive interactive look at goodfellas and G-men. Be sure to sit in the electric chair.
Eat: Back at Caesars, take a seat at Central for L.A. chef Michel Richard’s California-French cuisine.
Boogie: From here you could cross the casino to Pure, a flagship nightclub (note the terrace), but we suggest Absinthe, a mash-up of cabaret and acrobatics with a touch of racy humor.
