Best of LA
Zigzagging around the city for our annual Best of L.A. issue took us from Covina for a lace repair expert to a salon in Malibu that lends iPads to its customers to Studio City for a red-sauce Italian restaurant. Meanwhile, back at our Miracle Mile office, we conducted blind taste tests of scores of brownies and jams. Clocking hundreds of miles and hours, the 20 reporters fell in love with L.A. all over again—as they do every year when it comes time to scout the many ways the city shines PLUS: Six businesses that are still the best—more than 50 years later
